The SMS Kolberg was the lead ship of her class. One of the last protected cruisers of the Kaiserliche Marine (German Imperial Navy). She saw action against the British and Russian navies during the first World War. After the war ended, she was surrendered to France as a prize of war. She was re-named Colmer and served for a few years before being broken up for scrap. Going into this battle, I had my doubts about surviving. I was the only Tier III vessel going up against Tier IV and V ships. So early on I kept my speed slow, not wishing to charge to my death. Initial focus on a destroyer that was getting close a Battleship on my team. After that I noticed a cruiser trying to sneak around the island toward our Carriers. After that I assisted in setting an enemy Battleship's deck on fire and later aided in two cruisers being destroyed (I think they were AFK). Every time I went to engage, I assumed I would meet my end. Then it came down to just a few carriers. That introduced a new challenge for me. The Kolberg does not have any anti-air defense, which is odd because in real life she had both torpedoes and AA guns. The fact that I had no AA is why toward the end I kept changing my heading, trying to not allow those planes a chance to broadside me.
