World of Tanks - American M5 Stuart Light Tank - YouTube xenofoxx

The M5 Stuart was widely used by the United States, Great Brittian and many other nations during and after World War II. It was a heavy modification of the M3 Stuart tank, both named after the American Civil War Confederate general James Ewell Brown Stuart. Sometimes a battle isn't about racking up kills. In this battle myself, a TD and another light tank hold off a few heavies, TDs and medium tanks. Using the terrain to our advantage and holding their advance. This tactic is basically reducing the enemy battle efficiency by preventing a flanking maneuver and allowing our guys in other parts of the map to focus on their objectives. And it seems to have worked. By the time I was dead and the enemy heavies had pushed through, their team had several losses which resulted in their defeat.

The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t) n.A. is a tier IV light tank. Originally a Czech tank, it is a prototype improvement of the standard Panzer 38, using welding technology instead of rivets for the construction. It never saw action nor was it mass produced. I was curious about the name and it breaks down as follows: The '38' may represent 1938, the year that the Czechoslovakia government ordered 150 to be manufactured. They would fall into German use after the occupation in 1939. The '(t)' means 'tschechisch', the german word for Czech. And lastly the 'n.A.' stands for 'neuer Art' which loosely translates into "State of the Art" because of the different manufacturing process utilizing welded plates.

The development of the Char B1 took nearly a decade to go from prototype to production. Mass produced in the 1930s and used to defend France. While slower than the German Panzers that it encountered, it was better armored. Because of this it yielded some victories but not enough to turn the tide of the German invasion. Several B1 vehicles would be captured and used by the Germans for training and on secondary fronts. In the video above, this is a lesson in flanking. Facing a Jagdpanzer 38 "Hetzer", after a few shots I realized I wasn't going to penetrate his frontal armor. So, I wheeled around the corner to attack the weaker side armor.

The Russian T-80 Light Tank was an improved version of the T-70 featuring a two person turret. It was also one of the last light tanks built by the Soviet Union during WW2 due to the change in policy regarding tank warfare. In game it is deemed a poor tank. Add to that, the 37mm Automatic SH-37 gun which has lower damage and penetration than any other gun that can be fitted to the T-80. I basically use it as a light sniper tank. Staying back and taking small amounts of health from enemy tanks. My angled plating helps but the thin armor and poor gun depression makes the job harder on hilly terrain. Toward the end me and another light charged to the enemy base while I left the Heavy and another light defend our base. We encountered a few SPGs. "No Problem" I think to myself. For some reason when the SU-5 came out of hiding my brain stopped working for a few seconds. I forgot about the quick reload of that SPG. At the last minute I said to myself "Maybe you should move out of his line of fire". But it was too late. DERP!

World of Tanks - American M3 Lee Medium Tank - YouTube xenofoxx

World Of Tanks (Award-Winning Work)

The M3 Lee was designed to replace the obsolete M2 Medium. They were issued to British forces in North Africa and served at the Battle of El Alamein. Some vehicles were modified by the British and were designated "Grant" while the American version was "Lee", both named after American Civil War generals. The Lee in-game is considered to be a poor tank due to it's large profile, hull mounted main gun, and the large weak points on the copula. Best thing to do is stay with a group. Let heavies lead and provide support file where possible. Drive it like a Tank Destroyer.

The Winter Showdown is a seasonal event on a custom themed map. Similar to the 2014 Karl mission, the game is set in a retro environment. In this clip, I'm driving the French 8-Bit Tank Destroyer called Polar Bear. This was my first time playing this event. You'll notice one of my team mates shooting me with a special healing shell.

The Winter Showdown is a seasonal event on a custom themed map. Similar to the 2014 Karl mission, the game is set in a retro environment. I haven't gotten to play this event as much as I wanted to due to work conflicts. In this video I'm using the American 8-Bit Heavy Tank called Mammoth. I didn't realize at first that you fired 3 round bursts with each shot. It almost caused me to shoot my allies in the early part of the round.
