Tank Universal - Level 18 "Mountain Pass" - YouTube xenofoxx

It would seem that Commander Turx isn't too pleased with Unit 8's disappearance and then re-appearance. But there isn't time for further discussion as you must help the resistance through the heavily guarded mountain pass. This area has a hilly terrain and several impassable obstacles. The canyon walls are lined with long range artillery turrets and enemy has a fortress which requires the use of a network hack. In this instance, I use the "Summon Titan" upgrade module. This will call 3 titans to bash down the fortified walls. It costs more but it's a lot faster then using sappers. Titans are also more durable than sappers, however use caution if they step on a land mine. If a Titan gets taken down, there will be a shock wave blast similar to enemy Behemoths.

Tank Universal - Level 13 "Wastering" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

In the last level, a cliff gave way, plummeting you into the waste ring. An area where drop ships dump digital garbage and useless bits into massive landfills. However the place is not barren of life. A small humble tribe of units have taken up residence here. Their leader, Olixa, offers you a trade. They will rebuild your tank from the wreckage in return for helping them remove the Virii, the foreign entity that has invaded their land.

Tank Universal - Level 20 "The Watcher" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

The final level, the resistance sends a tank battalion to face off with Gorgon. The level has some heavy tanks, standard turrets and missile turrets. Bombers will also fly over the area. But the bigger threat is the threat is the beam coming from the watchers eye. It will destroy your vehicle with a single hit. Take advantage of any trench or object you can hide behind and take cover. Once inside the inner ring of the watcher, the beam can't get you. Destroy the power stacks holding the watcher in place. Doing this will destabilize the creature causing it to explode.

Tank Universal - Level 19 "Logic Gate" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Another Capture the Flag level. In this one your fortress is already established. You will need to defend it against waves of Behemoths and heavy tanks that come through the gate periodically. Also there is a nearby enemy base. Like in past levels, a network hack is needed to break down the enemy walls. In this level, I use the megabomb upgrade and nuke them. This creates an extremely large shockwave that will disable your vehicle for a short period of time. Once your tank reboots, steal the enemy key and return it to your HUB to purge the area of enemies. After the battle has concluded, investigate the area behind the enemy base. You will discover the sister ship to the Revelation, which was not completed. Use this as a battering ram to knock down the gate protecting Gorgon.

Tank Universal - Level 16 "Council Meeting" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Inside the tower, there is no combat in this level. Pure exploration. Reach the top of the tower and meet with the council. On your way up you may optionally stop by a small museum dedicated to Telox. It seems he was once a great adventurer. On an exposition he discovered the entity known as Gorgon. Once at the top of the tower you quickly learn that the Council is responsible for the raid on the rebel base. They intend to hand over the resistance to Gorgon's forces. They also insist that they have a way to protect the sector against Gorgon... But he has other plans.

Tank Universal - Level 9 "The Chasm" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Unit 8 is on his own now after the previous battle. Entering a valley you soon find a few enemy turrets and heavy tanks. You will also encounter a few electronic barriers. Locate their power source to take them down. Lastly, there is a digital "train" that passes through the area frequently. If you get caught within it's field it will drain your tanks shields rapidly. I recommend buying upgrades for your speed booster as near the end you'll have to traverse a long area that's in the direct path of the e-train.

Tank Universal - Level 5 "Extended Training" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

The second part of the training session. This time no tutorial, just a slightly larger skirmish match. Same rules as before, just use what you've learned to win. After activating your HUB and marking some glyphs, focus on the enemy turrets. Once they are gone and you have a few allies on the field you can push into their base and grab their key. Don't forget about the upgrade hub. If you have points, use them on something. Mines are always a good choice. They come in handy later.

Tank Universal - Level 12 "Megaron Tank" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game

After the battle you are tasked with scouting ahead into the mountains. Near a volcano you come across a few threats. First are the Virii Pods. They are very sensitive to movement. Agitate them enough and they will burst, spawning small creatures that will chase after you. You can choose to slowly creep past and ignore them or blast them to oblivion. Later on Commander Turxz informs you of a strange reading. The source is a massive Megaron Tank. You have to hunt it down and destroy it. The Megaron Tank has 3 heavy guns that can fire in rapid succession. It can also teleport so close quarters combat isn't likely to happen. Additionally you can't stay in one place for too long as there is also a bomber flying overhead, forcing you to stay on the move.

Tank Universal - Level 14 "Network Hack" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Another walled enemy base, but this time there is a new method to break down the walls. Network Hack! To hack into their HUB you must capture control points in a series so that it connects directly to the Red teams base. Once a point is captured it can be upgraded to a tower. Getting too close to an enemy towers is very dangerous so it's best to destroy them from a distance. For this you'll need to visit the Upgrade Hub and purchase Sappers, Titans or Megabomb if you haven't done so already. In this round I summon four Sappers, the cheapest option. They will drill holes into the walls of the fortress. But be sure to protect them as they have no weapons to defend themselves.

Tank Universal - Level 17 "George Takes a Break" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

We return briefly to the "real" world. George's health hasn't improved much so he takes a break from the VR World. Meanwhile Captain Turxz are moving north across the grid. A new council has been created within the Resistance and the decision is made to take the fight to Gorgon. No interaction in this part of the game. Mostly dialog and exposition.

Tank Universal - Level 10 "Supply Base" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

You are asked by your commander to checkout a nearby Gorgon supply base. Here you will encounter a few light, medium and heavy tanks but there are also two Behemoths roaming the area. Fortunately they are not as menacing as they seem. They have large pools of Hit Points but also weak points on the bottom of their feet. Which means you can whittled down their HP with your cannon OR drop a few land mines and coax them to step on them. But be warned, when they explode, you don't want to be too close to them. Before entering the second part of the level, you will want to have enough energy shards to buy smoke bombs from the upgrade HUB if you haven't done so already. Entering the valley, your exit will be closed off by an energy field that will slowly close in on you, forcing you to keep moving. Use smoke bombs to cross the mine field without tripping them. Lastly you will enter an area that contains hundreds of Gorgon soldiers gathered near a communications array. Sneak in and take out the array.

Tank Universal - Level 7 "Tank Factory" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Fleeing the rebel hideout, you seek shelter from the enemy ship hovering above. A transmission from an unseen ally informs you to take sanctuary in the near by factory. The first part you only have to deal with a few tanks and avoid some land mines. However the real danger are these large, highly explosive vats. If you see one that is damaged, get away from it before it blows. Or do as I have in this video, shoot them before you get near them. The second part is a mini-game. In order to get to your friend, a friendly Titan, you must trip a series of switches. Of course as you do, enemy tanks will do their best to switch them back. For every switch you trip, an ally light tank will spawn. For every switch the enemy trips, an enemy light tank will spawn.

Tank Universal - Level 11 "Fortress" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

This level takes you back to the "Capture the Flag" tactics of previous levels. Only this time the red team are walled up in a fortress complete with turrets and energy barriers. You have to locate the power source to bring the barrier down. In this video, while I was off exploring the cave, an enemy scout stole our HUB key TWICE! With the barrier down, pushing into the inner fortress, it is equally well defended with another barrier. Only this time you'll get the help of a trio of Titans, including the one who helped you back at the Tank Factory. Using their massive hammers to bash down the walls of the fortress allowing you to access their HUB for the win.

Tank Universal - Level 4 "Basic Training" - YouTube xenofoxx

Video Game (Industry)

Finally, a level where you get to actually shoot something. But first, a tutorial. You have the option of skipping the tutorial if you wish. Once complete, there's a small battle. Use a glyph to enable your HUB. Mark other glyphs so your teams harvesters can use them to create reinforcements. Those reinforcements will soon enter the battle in the form of light tanks, medium tanks (such as yours) and artillery tanks. Finally you take the battle to the enemy. Destroy the turrets guarding their base. Push in toward their HUB and capture the key. The battle is concluded when you bring the enemy key to your base HUB.
