World of Warplanes - Russian Ground Attack Aircraft Kochyerigin BSh-1 - Hat Trick Ace - YouTube xenofoxx

In 1936 the Soviet Union purchased four American Vultee V-11 GB aircraft, along with a production license to manufacture their own variant. This Russian built variation went into service as the Bronirovanny Shturmovik or BSh-1. However production was stopped after 31 aircraft were built due to poor performance created by the additional armor needed for ground attacks. They were later re-designated PS-43 and used for high speed light transport planes. In game, the BSh-1 was gifted to me for participating in closed beta. However recently they have added it as a premium aircraft in the Wargaming shop. During this battle, I was able to take out a few ground targets as well as down five aircraft of multiple types, netting me both the 'Ace' and 'Hat Trick' achievement among others.

World of Warplanes - Russian Ilyushin BSh-2 - YouTube xenofoxx

World Of Warplanes (Video Game)

The BSh-2 was the prototype for the infamous USSR Il-2 Sturmovik. In this match I got into trouble at the end. Me versus the German Focke-Wulf Fw 189 C Eule. Both are attack aircraft but the Fw 189 is more manuverable and has a tail gunner. The BSh-2 is slow and has no rear protection. He almost had me toward the end.

World of Warplanes - Russian Kochyerigin TSh-2 Ground Attack Aircraft - Winter War - YouTube xenofoxx

World Of Warplanes (Video Game)

As a low tier GA (Ground Attack) aircraft, it doesn't contain any bombs or rockets. For many players, their first experience with this aircraft may be to try and treat it like a fighter. Be warned, it lacks the maneuverability to be played as such. However, it can be used as a mixed support vehicle. In this video, I focus on Ground Targets (the initial purpose of GAs), making the anti-aircraft guns my primary focus. But as soon as enemy aircraft enter the area, change to an assist role. Using my heavy firepower to chew through enemy armor. When the skies are clear, you return to ground targets. That's how I do GA planes.

World of Warplanes - German Henschel Hs 129 B Attack Aircraft - YouTube xenofoxx

World Of Warplanes (Video Game)

In the 1930s the design of the Henschel Hs 129 was in competition with the Focke-Wulf Fw 189 C (A modification of the 189 reconnaissance plane). The Hs 129 was given priority because it was smaller and cheaper to manufacture. The aircraft initially suffered from poor controls due to its underpowered engines. This was resolved with the French made Gnome-Rhône 14M engine, which was continued to be manufactured after the German occupation. In game, it is similar to the Russian BSh-2 in that it has no rear gunner for protection. In many battles, I'll attack ground targets as secondary and make my primary task be fire support. However in this battle I went full GA mode. At one point, I realized our team was losing. But we had a higher superiority score so I thought about running to hide on the edge of the map and wait it out. But then I noticed one remarkable player on our team was taking out the enemy single-handedly.
