In 1936 the Soviet Union purchased four American Vultee V-11 GB aircraft, along with a production license to manufacture their own variant. This Russian built variation went into service as the Bronirovanny Shturmovik or BSh-1. However production was stopped after 31 aircraft were built due to poor performance created by the additional armor needed for ground attacks. They were later re-designated PS-43 and used for high speed light transport planes. In game, the BSh-1 was gifted to me for participating in closed beta. However recently they have added it as a premium aircraft in the Wargaming shop. During this battle, I was able to take out a few ground targets as well as down five aircraft of multiple types, netting me both the 'Ace' and 'Hat Trick' achievement among others.
