After the Russo-Japanese War, Japan set about to modernize their navy to compete with other European powers. They consulted with British naval architects and would eventually create the Kongo class of Battlecruisers. However there were several design drafts before the Kongo's features were fully fleshed out. One of those designs, seen here, is simply known as B-40. In the game, Design B-40 is known as Myogi, named after Mount Myogi. Although their are no records of this ship having been named that in historical record. During the game's development, in fact, the ship has changed names a few times. At one point it was named "Masamune" after the legendary sword smith. Later it was renamed "Haku" after Mount Haku. I am unsure why the developers selected these names but history only acknowledges it as "Design B-40". This was a fairly boring battle, with me just trying to keep an eye on our flank. But the last little bit it got exciting when dualing with a Destroyer with my secondaries while trying to keep a Battleship away from our Carrier.
