You can tell by the stock main battery, this is one of my early outings in the Nicholas destroyer. At the beginning of the match another player asked me to spot for Point A. When the two cruisers spotted me I doubled back to regroup with my allies while laying down smoke. And that's when I made a mistake. I was planning to circle around the cruiser to re-engage the enemy. However the cruiser began to turn, causing me to veer off, which in turn resulted in both of us slamming into another cruiser. Collisions happen from time to time in this game but I still feel bad. The Nicholas was a design that existed only on paper. Between 1917 and 1919 there were discussions and some technical specifications related to a "Large Destroyer" or "Leader Project". Only a sketch of the ship exists along with some measurements, armor and armament information. Some of this information can be found in a publication "U.S. Destroyers: An Illustrated Design History" by Norman Friedman. It is likely the leader design project was de-funded due to the end of World War I and the vessel was never realized.
