World of Tanks - British M2 Light Tank - YouTube xenofoxx

The M2 Light Tank was one of several designs that were acquired by Great Britain during the Second World War. While 100 vehicles were ordered, it seems only 36 were delivered before the order was cancelled. Being a pre-war design it didn't see a lot of action and was soon replaced by better light and medium armored vehicles. There is some evidence that the British M2 might have see some combat action in India and Burma against the Japanese forces. While other sources say that these tanks were ordered, but never delivered. I haven't played World of Tanks in a while, but a recent update got my attention. I figured I'd be rusty so I decided to stick to a low tier. I rarely played the UK Import line so that's why I went with the M2. The result... "So many medals"

I did nothing! No kills. No penetration shot. Not even spotting. So why post this video of my SAu 40 Tank Destroyer? Because It just amazed me the teamwork for this session. Everyone did an excellent job. My vehicle was so slow that by the time I advanced, the enemy had already been neutralized. Sometime mid-battle I realized half of their team was gone and we had only lost 2 tanks. I figured that kind of teamwork was worth publishing. Good job fellow tankers.

I probably could have taken that Tetrarch tank if I had not tried to turn my hill and reset my aim reticle. But hey, three kills and a Mastery Badge... I'll take that for being rusty at this game. The Type 97 was the most produced medium tank by the Imperial Japanese Army, with between 1,162 to 1,220 built, including the ShinHoTo AKA Type 97 Kai. (Number variance from different sources). It served in the Second Sino War against China, a border conflict with the Soviet Union known as the Battles of Khalkhin Gol, and World War II against the allies. The vehicle suffered from thin armor and a somewhat mediocre gun. The improved ShinHoTo variant was intended to strengthen these short comings, but was found to be no match against tanks of the early 1940s, such as the M4 Sherman. After the war, many of the surviving captured Type 97s were handed over to China and were subsequently used during the Chinese Civil War of 1946. In 1950, after the war, it is reported that the People's Liberation Army still operated roughly 349 of these tanks.

World of Tanks - 2016 Convoy Mode (Defend) - Early Tank Crews of WW1 - YouTube xenofoxx

This was recorded during the World of Tanks 2016 Convoy Mode event. Another round of playing on the defending team. Our goal is to prevent the Mark I tank from reaching our base. This is done by attaching bombs to it and preventing the other team from making repairs. Other than being a fun game mode, this anniversary event is also used to honor some of the first tank crews. On the menu screen (see my previous video) it lists a few of these soldiers including... Harold Mortimore - Commanded one of the first tanks used in combat. Stuart Hasty - First tank commander to capture a populated area, near Fleury Village. George Macpherson - At 20 years of age, he was the youngest commander during the Battle of Somme. Jacob Glaister - A tank gunner who took over after his commander was wounded trying to save another solider. His actions resulted in both commander and wounded soldier being saved.

My Chinese Type T-34 getting the winning shot during an encounter battle. Not sure why some of the movement is jerky. I'm using the built-in game recorder so maybe that's the problem.
