Taking the stock Furutaka out for a sail. A group of us first take point C, then using the islands as cover, I move toward the center of the map to help the fleet with some fire support. Two kills isn't bad I guess. Sometimes called the A-Class, the Furutaka Class heavy cruisers were designed based on the experiments with the cruiser Yubari. The class consisted of two vessels, Furutaka and Kako and were intended to surpass the American Omaha Class and British Hawkins Class ships. Initially the ships gun layout consisted of six single barrel turrets containing 8 inch guns, three forward and three aft, arranged in a pyramid-like configuration. These would be replaced during a later modernization starting in 1937.
