The USS Wickes was the lead ship of her class. Around 156 were built but only a few, including the Wickes, saw service during the first World War. Sometimes known as "Flush Decker" because of their design with a single deck that ran the length of the ship. The designs odd arrangement for its torpedo launchers meant that it could only fire half of it's tubes in a single direction at a time. During World War II and agreement between Great Britain and the United States resulted in many vessels to be transferred to the Royal Navy. The USS Wickes was one of them and was later renamed HMS Montgomery. Additionally some Wickes class ships would serve in the Canadian and Soviet Navies as well. During this battle, I almost made a critical mistake. I blind-fired my torpedoes without noticing an ally destroyer entering the area I was aiming. Luckly no harm was done and I even managed to take out their one battleship before my demise, aiding to the teams victory.
