The Ki-33 was one of three aircraft built in competition to replace the Kawasaki Ki-10 bi-plane for the Japanese Army. It was basically a modification of another prototype, the Ki-18. However it was deemed that the Nakajima Ki-27 was the superior aircraft and only two Ki-33 prototypes were built. For a while, the aircraft was called the "T-Shirt Plane" in game because it was only available with a limited shirt offer from Jinx. However it has been bundled with other Wargaming offers since then, including a PC Gaming magazine special that was published in 2014.
