The easily recognizable twin boon design is what makes the P-38 stand out. This aircraft proved itself in a vast number of roles in both Europe and over the Pacific during World War II. The E series was the first combat capable P-38s, with only a few hundred produced. The F series followed by adding the ability to carry additional fuel tanks or several hundred pounds of bombs. In this video, I drop my bombs premature as I engage in dog fighting. It's a waste of a bomb but it makes your aircraft more maneuverable.
