After the XF4F-2 prototype lost in favor of the F2A Brewster Buffalo, Grumman completely rebuilt the the aircraft as XF4F-3. This version redesigned the wings and tail as well as a new supercharged engine. The success of this prototype eventually lead to the F4F Wildcat. In December 1940 the XF4F-3 was involved in a fatal accident which destroyed the experimental aircraft. In this battle, I did a lot of assists in this aircraft.
