The M3 Lee was intended to replace the obsolete M2 and give Britain a medium tank with a gun that could out class the current Panzer III tanks. It succeeded but with drawbacks, such as a large profile and the main gun situated low in the hull rather than in a turret. For this reason, in the game, it behaves less like a Medium Tank and more like a Tank Destroyer. The steep armor plating and forward-fixed guns often requires you to act as a support vehicle. While this battle is a defeat, it's probably one of my better personal M3 Lee moments.
