The Bf 110 was planned to be replaced by the Me 210, however due to problems with that aircraft, the Bf 110 E contained modifications to extend it's service life. Beginning with a strengthened airframe, fuselage extension, and improvements to the armor. Because of these upgrades and the need by the Luftwaffe the aircraft would remain in service along side it's intended replacements, the Me 210 and Me 410 until the end of the war. ------- I've continued to fly in hopes of completing the October month long mission. Despite the fact that I'm running on a temporary computer as my system popped last weekend due to a power surge. But with the new parts I've ordered, I may consider switching to the HD version of the game.
