The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa was used by the Japanese Army Air Force during World War II. After the war, some captured aircraft were used by the Chinese Communist Air Force until 1952. The aircraft had similar design features as the A6M Zero, but with a slimmer air frame. The Mark Ic variant was armed with two 12.7 mm (.50 in) Ho-103 machine guns.
